Sed with his favorite subject in the BahamasSed was born in the exotic resort city of Antalya, Turkey and much of his art is based on the Mediterranean influences of the region. As a child, Sed loved western movies and earned the nickname "miracle kid" by creating western comic art (pencilling and inking) for Ceylan Publishers at the age of eight. By the age of fifteen he was working as a comic strip artist for numerous popular magazines in Istanbul, Turkey.

Sed attended the Hamburg Academy of Visual Arts and received a BFA specializing in Photo Realism-Oil Painting. Because of his talent, Sed was able to complete a five-year degree in three years. Click here to view Sed's resume.

Upon graduation, he was asked to remain at the school as an instructor for a year while also working as a cover artist for the Stella Duval Publishing Group. His western book covers caught the attention of Italy's Sergio Bonelli who commissioned Sed to do comics for the Italian Spaghetti Westerns of the '60's.

Upon returning to his homeland from Hamburg, Sed continued his work as a poster and comic book artist for the government-owned publishing companies and the Turkish Cultural Ministry. His exotic Mediterranean paintings started gaining attention and were displayed in major galleries in Antalya, Istanbul, as well as in Kiev, Ukraine and Moscow, Russia. This led to several opportunities whith greeting card companies in Turkey for exotic, historical postcards.
