Side is the site of the ancient temple of Apollo, which can be seen from the harbor.   Behind the tourist establishments stand the harbour baths  which played an important role in ancient Sidetan life.  Seamen traveling to Side were required to wash prior to entering the city.  While admiring the ancient surroundings, one may miss the dolphins "Gathering in the Shallow Waters of Side".  Oil on board, 16"x20"
