In the 2nd B.C. this area was a favorite pirate lair then known as Korakesion.  Often, Cleopatra met her Roman lover here bathing and spending sensual days and nights together.  On the hill, sits an ancient temple depicting the three goddesses Hera, Athena and Aphrodite.  Still, it is called as..."Beach of Cleopatra". Oil on canvas, 24"x18".  In the possession of a private collector in Iowa, USA.  Prints, canvas prints, and posters available.
