Mediterranean Art > Datça Sunset

The richest archeological monuments belonging to the Datça Peninsula, which can be reached today, were found in Knidos between the years of 1852-1858. Englishman, Sir Charles Newton, made several diggings in the area finding hundreds of statues and precious stones that were taken to the British Museum. But they were only able to possess the "Datça Sunset" within their memories.
