Mediterranean Art > Dolphin Dance

The Hellenistic period gate near Perge dates to the 2nd century B.C..  Towers set on either side forming a semi-circular theater stage protected it until that period's worst earthquake cause the gate to submerge 24 feet below sea level.  The gate now serves as a perfect stage for a "Dolphin Dance".
