Alaharan is situated between the holiday resort Kemer and the village of Adrasan. The foundation of Alaharan is not thought to be extremely ancient but even so, it did not manage to survive beyond the Hellenistic period. Coins were struck there in the 2nd Century B.C.. The ruins of the ancient city are set along the banks of a stream, and although small, it is a very interesting site. An unforgettable striking position by the sea and curious for it's ever shining moon on "Early Alaharan Morning". Oil on canvas, 18"x24"
